The further development and implementation of the 3R principles represents a central task of biomedical research. In recent years, the metropolitan region of Northern Bavaria has developed into one of the leading research locations, especially for cancer and infectious diseases as well as for novel medical devices. At the same time, alternatives to animal testing have gained in importance and have found their way into biomedical research. The research location Würzburg has meanwhile become the nucleus of 3R research, in particular of alternative methods to animal experiments, within Bavaria and beyond.

Join us at Achema in Frankfurt from 10 to 14 June, where the Fraunhofer ISC will be exhibiting at the Fraunhofer Chemistry Alliance joint stand (Stand D49 in Hall 6.0). The Fraunhofer ISC will be showcasing the many applications of nanostructured microparticles (supraparticles) in the fields of catalysis and sensor technology. We are looking forward to your visit!

Visit us from June 11 - 13, 2024, at the Sensor + Test trade fair in Nuremberg, where the Fraunhofer ISC will be represented at the joint booth of Bayern Innovativ, booth 430 in Hall 1. The Fraunhofer ISC will be presenting intelligent materials for the realization of controllable systems and technological components. The focus will be on the development of smart elastomers for integrated sensor technology as well as comprehensive process technology know-how for the combination of electronics with textiles or paper. Shaping the future of materials together: MSE, organized by the DGM, is one of the most important European events in the field of materials science and technology. It takes place every two years and is not only a congress, but also a celebration of innovation and inspiration. This year, however, it is even more special, as the guest country is Sweden - a pioneer in materials science.

The "Conference on Battery Direct Recycling", initiated by the Fraunhofer Center for Electromobility Bavaria FZEB of the ISC, is intended to provide a network of stakeholders from research, industry and politics on the topics Design for Recycling, methods and processes in Direct Recycling, Digitization, Life Cycle Assessment as well as policy and market.
